How to Keep Your Succulents Alive
I have a lot of succulents at the studio, a lot. At one time I had over 100 in various stages of life.
I went a little crazy once I figured out how to keep them alive...neglect. I was like so many other people. I over watered them. Succulents, unlike other houseplants, like neglect. It's not actually neglect, it is replicating a desert, where most succulents thrive.
The succulent above is from my studio. I have had it for 5 years and get it to bloom yearly. The trick is waiting until the succulent looks a little shriveled and then give it a good watering. It's also best to plant succulents in a planter with a drainage hole, like the planters I make. (And look they even come with a sweet little coordinating saucer!)
See that cute little drainage hole? Your succulents will stay alive without a drainage hole, but they really thrive with one.
